Waiting For Power
Monday: Waiting for Power
Reading: Acts 1:1-8
Devotional: Jesus commanded His disciples to wait—not to strategize, but to receive power. Before any ministry, before any mission, there had to be an encounter with the Holy Spirit. This wasn't about human capability or clever planning; it was about supernatural empowerment. Today, consider where you're trying to move forward in your own strength. Are you attempting to live the Christian life without daily dependence on the Holy Spirit? God isn't impressed by our résumés or abilities. He's looking for surrender. Before you rush into your day, wait. Create space for the Holy Spirit to fill you afresh. The most powerful thing you can do today is acknowledge your complete dependence on God's presence and power in your life.
